Portable Hard Drive Requiring A PIN Number?

PCWorld has a great review about a new portable hard drive (EZSecu EZ850) manufactured under the name “Digital Cowboy” (we don’t quite understand that one yet) that comes complete with an ATM-like PIN number system for added security. It connects via USB, but if the proper PIN number isn’t entered the computer will not recognize the device. I can see a lot of benefits to a feature like this and am surprised this sort of thing hasn’t been introduced previously on portable devices that may carry sensitive information.
